Welcome to Wells College
Career Development Services (CDS)

CDS provides career, education, and employment assistance and guidance to current students and alumnae through counseling (individual and group), seminars, workshops, fairs and other programming. Take advantage of career assessment, networking opportunities, and/or graduate and professional school preparation from our experienced staff. The Wells College Internship Program is coordinated through the CDS. The Career Resource Library and office are open Monday - Friday,   8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. and Tuesday & Thursday Evenings 
6:00 - 9:00 p.m.

UPCOMING EVENTS: (Click calendar to view all events.)

Graduate School Fair:  Monday, October 1, 2007 from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. in the Sommer Center. Meet with graduate school admissions,  PeaceCorps, Americorps/Vista and Kaplan Inc. representatives and  Wells College pre-professional program advisors. This event is open to the public. To view participating schools and programs see page 2 of the CDS newlsetter Direction.

Experiential Learning Fair: Tuesday, October 2, 2007 from
12:15 to 1:30 p.m. (Location to be announced).  Wells College faculty and staff will be available to discuss experiential learning opportunities including internships, study abroad and other off-campus study. For students who are planning to do an internship in January 2008, this is an important step in the internship application process.

INTERNSHIPS: January Intersession 2008

Sophomores, Juniors and Seniors who are planning on doing an internship this January,  NOW is the time to start the process. Visit the CDS Office and Career Resource Library for detailed information.

WLLS 190 Liberal Arts Practicum: Class of 2011 students are encouraged to explore careers in a real world setting by participating in the Liberal Arts Practicum WLLS 190 during the January Intersession.

Forms & Deadlines: January 2008 Internship Agreement Forms and Liabililty Waivers are due to Career Services by 4:30 p.m. on December 5, 2007. Grant Applications for January Internships Abroad are due by November 9, 2007. All other grant applications for January are due December 5, 2007.
