Volunteer Opportunities

Wells fundraising volunteers are the “eyes and ears” of the college. Through contact with alumnae, parents, friends, businesses and foundations, volunteers play an integral role in helping the college stay connected with individuals who care about Wells and who want to be a part of securing her future through giving.

Alumnae volunteers for Wells are spokeswomen for the college and sounding boards for concerns of the Wells community at large. They serve as liaisons between our alumnae and the staff on campus. Their outreach forms a bridge between Wells' past and present. And we owe them a huge debt of gratitude -- because their hard work is literally building Wells' future.

There are many ways to be a fundraising volunteer for Wells:

  • Participate with your own gift to Wells each and every year
  • Engage in conversations and activities with classmates to strengthen their affiliation with Wells
  • Ask fellow alumnae to join you in making a gift in support of Wells
  • Steward donors with personal thank you notes
  • Advise staff regarding alumnae needs and interests in the college
  • Open the door for Wells staff to speak with a foundation
  • Provide leadership for a Reunion class campaign
  • Host a Wells event for donors in your area
  • Return to campus to reconnect with Wells so that you can share the news of the college “today”
  • Participate in a regional focus group on giving
  • Work with other committed classmates to achieve greater levels of consistent annual support and participation in the Annual Fund
We invite your participation as a fundraising volunteer at Wells and seek to offer meaningful opportunities for involvement. Please be encouraged to contact us for more information on becoming a Wells volunteer.
