Assistant
Professor of Spanish
Wells College, a small liberal
arts college in Aurora, New York, seeks applications for a full-time tenure-track
position as Assistant Professor of Spanish, with a specialization in Latin
American Studies, starting in academic year 2009-2010. The successful candidate
will teach courses at all levels in language, culture, and literature.

Assistant

Assistant Professor of Psychology.
Wells College, Aurora, NY. Tenure-track position to teach courses in abnormal,
psychotherapy, personality, introductory psychology, and clinical/counseling
areas, to advise senior theses projects, and to participate on rotation
in the first-year seminar. We seek a colleague who is collaborative and

Secondary Education / Curriculum
and Instruction Secondary Education/Curriculum and Instruction Position-full
time, tenure track beginning August 2009. Successful candidate will
teach undergraduate courses focusing on instructional methods and foundations.
Other responsibilities include supervision of field experiences and student
teaching, as well as advising pre-service teacher candidates.
Candidate should have secondary
teaching experience (grades 7-12), knowledge of reflective teaching practices,
a strong background in instructional technology and a commitment to issues
of diversity. An earned doctorate in education or curriculum/ instruction
is required.

historian, primary field in China/Japan (secondary fields in other non-western

Head Women’s
Softball Coach and Head Women’s Basketball Coach
Wells College
seeks applicants for the full-time 10 month position of head coach for
Women’s Softball and Women’s Basketball. As a two-sport Head Coach, will
oversee all aspects of the Women’s Softball and Women’s Basketball programs,
including team sport skills and techniques, preparation of daily practices
and season plan, ordering supplies and uniforms and compiling of team and
roster statistics and information. A primary function of the position
will be the recruitment and retention of qualified student-athletes.
(Women’s Basketball is a new sport for Wells College for 2008-2009 and
the primary emphasis will be on developing the program and recruitment.
The team will have club status in 2008-2009 and move to varsity status
in 2009-2010). Regular 10 month schedule: Aug 1 – May 31. Minimum
requirements: Bachelor’s degree. Excellent interpersonal skills and
computer literate. Highly motivated, organized, strong supervisory skills
and experience with intercollegiate athletics. Minimum of 2 years coaching

Grounds Worker
Wells College seeks applicants
for the fulltime position of Grounds Worker. Duties include but are
not limited to: mowing, planting, trimming, snow removal, sweeping,
raking and other manual duties related to grounds keeping. Must possess
