Alumnae Council is the annual gathering of alumnae volunteers.
Held in conjunction with Fall Weekend and the Odd-Even game, the
nearly 70 alumnae who returned to campus enjoyed sessions with
President Ryerson and the senior staff, other administrators,
students and faculty. Participants were able to enjoy the Odd-Even
game, which the Evens won 37-20, breaking the three year Odd-line
winning streak. The Evens also won the Friday evening song contest
for the first time in many years.
A highlight of the weekend was a special intergenerational program
called Life Skills for Choice-Points and Transitions. After Dean
Ellen Hall spoke about some new research in this area, three alumnae
(one who graduated in the 40's, one in the 60's and one in the
80's) shared some of the personal challenges which they have faced
at different points in their lives. Wells women have much to learn
from each other as we work to validate the challenges and vulnerabilities
which we all face.
All alumnae are welcome to attend Council every year.
