We're always seeking new faces and new ideas to help spread the word about Wells, assist with alumnae networking, and to help bolster the campus and community. Here are some ways to help!

Admissions Volunteer Program - 


Alumnae Association Board

  • Refer to Alumnae Association by-laws for job descriptions.
  • Submit two reports per year for board meeting.
  • Present brief report at Alumnae Assoc. Annual meeting.
  • Stay well informed of college issues and priorities.
  • Encourage alumnae to support Wells College institutional goals.
  • Encourage volunteerism amongst alumnae.
  • Attend Spring and Fall meetings.

Planning Your Giving to Wells

FARGO Board
  • Participate in FARGO team projects.
  • Stay well informed of college issues and priorities.
  • Encourage volunteerism amongst alumnae.
  • Encourage FARGO alumnae to support Wells College institutional goals.
  • Attend Spring and Fall meetings.
Regional Representatives
  • Help organize events in your region.
  • Recruit Club Representatives.
  • Submit materials for Region web page.
  • Stay well informed of college issues and priorities.
  • Attend Alumnae Council in the fall.
Club Representatives
  • Work with the Alumnae office to organize club events yearly.
  • Stay well informed of college issues and priorities.
  • Attend Alumnae Council in the Fall.
  • Recruit replacement prior to retirement.
Class Secretaries
  • Solicit news from classmates once a year.
  • Compile and submit class news to Alumnae Office throughout the year.
  • During Reunion years work with other leaders in your class as a committee of Reunion volunteers to coordinate mailings, phone trees, social events during Reunion, etc. 
  • Attend Alumnae Council in the fall.
  • Recruit replacement prior to retirement.
Alumnae Award Committee
  • Research potential recipients.
  • Select award recipient(s).
  • Attend and help organize Alumnae Award Convocation and luncheon.
  • Attend Spring and Fall meetings.
Reunion Social Chairs
  • Write two letters (Fall and Spring) to your classmates to update and encourage them to attend Reunion.
  • Work with other leaders in your class as a committee of Reunion volunteers to coordinate mailings, phone trees, social events during Reunion, etc.
  • Organize activities during Reunion including the parade, class photo, scrapbook, favors, skit, etc. 
  • Recruit classmates to help with Reunion. 
  • Attend Alumnae Council in the fall prior to Reunion, attend Reunion in the spring.
  • Recruit replacement prior to retirement.
Alumnae Fundraising Volunteers
  • Decade Chairs
  • Lead a team of Class Chairs in their decade for Annual Giving.
  • Recruit, encourage, thank, and update Class Chairs.
Class Chairs and Co-Chairs
  • Lead classmates in Annual Giving efforts.
  • Recruit and solicit agents. 
  • Write yearly solicitation letter to all classmates (development office coordinates the mailing of this letter). 
  • Make personal calls and visits when necessary. 
Class Agents
  • Call, write, or visit 6-10 classmates and ask them to support Wells. 
  • Record pledges, address changes, and questions and promptly return them to the development office. 
  • Thank classmates who have supported Wells.
Reunion Fund Chairs and Co-Chairs
  • Lead classmates in reunion giving efforts.
  • Recruit and solicit agents (optional for post-50th Reunion classes). 
  • Send Reunion solicitation letters to all classmates.
  • Work with other leaders in your class as a committee of Reunion volunteers to coordinate appeals, mailings, phone trees, social events during Reunion, etc. 
  • Make personal calls and visits when necessary. 
  • Attend Reunion and present the Reunion Fund gift to the college.
Reunion Agents
  • Call, write, or visit 6-10 classmates and ask them to support Wells with
  • increased gifts (when possible) in celebration of Reunion. 
  • Record pledges, address changes, and questions and promptly return them to the development office. 
  • Encourage classmates to attend Reunion. 

  • Thank classmates who have supported Wells.
