Wells College Family Association
The Wells College Family Association
works to enhance communication and interaction between families and the
College, to provide support to parents as they acclimate to having their
children at Wells, and to encourage support of the College’s outreach and
fundraising efforts.
Family Association goals
and related activities include:
-
Sponsoring and encouraging information
sharing between parents, and with Wells’ leadership with the goal
of fostering a positive co-curricular environment for Wells students;
-
Working to enhance activities
and gatherings for Wells families including Parent Orientation and Family
and Friends Weekend;
-
Supporting the regional alumni
councils and alumni-admissions efforts;
-
Supporting the activities and
programming of campus departments, particularly the academic departments
and programs, The Student Life Office, Career Services and the Department
of Athletics.
The first gathering of
the Family Association will take place during Family and Friends Weekend
(October 31 – November 2, 2008). A moderated panel discussion will
give family members the opportunity to ask questions and engage in dialogue.
The panel will be followed by a reception where parents will have the opportunity
to engage in conversation with other parents and the College’s administrative
and academic leaders.
