Mission Statement: The office of Campus Involvement utilizes a holistic approach to assess and address the physical, emotional and social wellness of our student body. Our office provides programming focused on diversity, awareness, leadership, and service while maintaining the rich institutional traditions that connect generations of Wells students. We promote and support the involvement of all students as they enrich their lives on campus and in the community, preparing for a life of exploration and continuous learning. Wells College trip to a Broadway show

Student Organizations: Sooner or later, students at Wells join a committee, run for an office, or suddenly find themselves in the position of being appointed "volunteer." For more detail, see the listing of student organizations at Wells.

Events:During the academic year there are so many events at Wells that deciding which ones to attend can present a dilemma. The weekly activities calendar lists athletic events, art exhibits, comedians, concerts, plays, films, lectures by visiting scholars, poetry and fiction readings in the Visiting Writers Series, and club meetings, among other activities. Informal events constantly occur on campus as well.

Campus Involvement maintains an online calendar with up to date information regarding events and space reservations at Wells.  The calendar is only accessible to computers on the Wells network.

Traditions: Among the things that make Wells what it is are the many old and unique traditions. These traditions were established for fun to promote a sense of community. See the listing of Wells traditions.

Religious Life: The College Chaplain, Rev. Bob French, coordinates religious activities. The college has no religious affiliation, and participation is a matter of personal choice.  The Chaplain tries to insure that students have the opportunity to practice their faith and explore spiritual values during their time at Wells.  He is available to the Wells community for pastoral counseling, holds interfaith services, and resources student religious groups.  He works with the Student Life Division to encourage social action and community service projects.  The village has a combined Episcopal-Presbyterian church (the United Ministry of Aurora), and is part of the Good Shepherd Catholic Community.  There are many other places of worship in the surrounding area, and transportation to services is available on request.  For more information, see the Chaplain at his office in the Chapel in Main on Tuesday evenings (6:30-8:30) and Wednesday mornings (10:00-12:00) or call him at ext. 3426 during those hours or 364-8543 at other times.

For Spring 2007, the following Christian services are coordianted by students:

Sundays 12 noon to 1 pm:  Worship Service in the Chapel
Sundays 4 - 5 pm:  Bible Study in the Faculty Parlors
Sundays 8:15 - 9:30 pm:  Odd Song
