| Named for the 11th president of Wells
College, the library features a free-form design that is believed to be
structurally conducive to learning. This building, constructed in 1968,
houses 248,000 volumes, 400 periodical subscriptions, newspapers and government
documents, microform, video and audio titles.
The library also provides access to
OCLC's WorldCat, an international bibliographic database, ProQuest, a CD-ROM
as well as an on-line resource for periodicals, and Lexis/Nexis Academic
Universe, which provides access to a wide range of news, business, legal,
and reference information. Students can also search the nearby Cornell
University Library System on Internet accessible terminals available in
the library's Electronic Resources Room. In addition to the Internet accessible
terminals, the library also provides individual study carrels, a walk-through
art gallery and seminar and study rooms. |
