8:00 p.m.                      Movement Workshop lead by Professor Jeanne Goddard, Professor of Dance. Coffee and dessert will be provided.

·        Book Arts Program led by Terrence Chouinard, Director of the Books Arts Center, and Nancy Gil, Assistant Director of the Book Arts Center.

·        Class of 2008 – Class Birthday Party. Join the Class of ’08 as they celebrate their 1st full year at Wells College.

·        Class of 2009 – Leaf pressing. Enjoy a chance to take the beautiful fall in Aurora home with you.

12:30 – 2:00 p.m.         Taste of Aurora. Friends and Families and will have the opportunity to experience the culinary samplings of village establishments.

2:00- 4:30 p.m.            Family and Friends Weekend Trips. Sign-ups for weekend trips will be available during Check-in. Limited transportation will be provided and is available on a first come, first served basis, however, you may take your own vehicle to the various locations—please follow Wells College vans. Fees for all trips and transportation are included in your registration fee.

                                    Meet in front of Main Building.

 

·        Winery Tour. Visit Treleavan Winery, located in King Ferry, and Long Point Winery, located in Aurora.

 

·        MacKenzie-Childs Studio and Farmhouse Tour. Visit the world- renowned MacKenzie-Childs pottery studio and grounds.

 

4:30- 6:00 p.m.            Welcoming Reception at the President’s home. Greet President Ryerson and see historic Taylor House.

6:00-7:30pm                Friends and Families Weekend Dinner. Entertainment will be provided by the Wells College Jazz Band and Concert Choir. Open to pre-registrants only.

*   Theatre production. Wells College Theatre Department presents A Piece of My Heart by Shirley Lauro. The fall student drama production speaks to the human effect of war, lending an inside look at combat from a woman's perspective. A Piece of My Heart focuses on the challenges that were particular to women in Vietnam. The play follows the story of three nurses, a Red Cross worker, a Women’s Army Corps member, and a USO entertainer as they volunteer for, serve in, and return home from Vietnam. The cast and crew are comprised of returning, first year, and transfer students. Please join us in Phipps Auditorium to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the end of the Vietnam War. This show is recommended for ages 13 and up. Tickets available at the door. Doors open at 7:00pm; curtain at 7:30pm.
