9:15-9:30 - Welcome and Introductions - Phipps Auditorium. Lisa Marsh Ryerson, President of Wells College, will welcome participants and introduce the day's speakers.
9:30 - Opening Address - "Taking Charge of Your Finances" - Phipps Auditorium. Presenter Mary Jane Jarvis, a Wells College graduate, is the President of the Connecticut chapter of the American Association of Individual Investors. She is the former president of Venture, a Westport-based investment club. She earned her master's degree at Yale University.
10:00 - Break - A time for conversation and learning.
10:15 - Panel Session - "Dollars and Sense - Your Money Can Work for You" - Phipps Auditorium. Included in this session will be experts in the fields of investments, stocks and bonds, banking, and benefits and contracts. The panel will be moderated by Dr. Jan Kennedy Olsen, Vice President for External Relations at Wells.
12:00-1:00 p.m. - Lunch - Wells College Dining Hall.
1:15-2:00 - Special Address - "1848 to the New Millennium: A View of Women in Finance" - Phipps Auditorium. Presenter Margie Filter Hostetter, a Wells College graduate, is Vice President, Treasurer, and Secretary of Xerox Corporation. Ms. Hostetter is the highest ranking woman at the corporation.
2:00- 2:15 - Break - A time for conversation and learning.
2:15- 3:00 - Presentation - "Entrepreneurship: Risks and Rewards" - Phipps Auditorium. Victoria MacKenzie-Childs, co-founder of MacKenzie-Childs, Ltd., designers and manufacturers of spirited furnishings, dinnerware, glassware, and linen, will speak about the phenomenal success of the enterprise she created.
3:00 -3:15 - Wrap-Up Session - Phipps Auditorium.
